Recently, Ford announced a new initiative that will help customers save on auto insurance. To this end, the company has teamed up with key insurance carriers, including State Farm, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, Metromile, and Verisk Data Exchange.
These new partnerships will help customers lower their insurance premium based on their driving behavior thanks to built-in connectivity technology on eligible Ford vehicles. And with connected vehicle data, Ford will help car insurance carriers improve their underwriting process and usage-based programs.
Additionally, Ford Insure, which is underwritten by Nationwide, offers usage-based policies through Ford’s insurance agency subsidiary. Ford Insure enhances the Ford customers experience with driver behavior discounts of up to 40 percent. Through the FordPass™ app or Ford Insure website, customers with eligible vehicles like the 2020 Ford Escape or Ford Explorer can easily get a quote, then buy or bundle policies.

Back in November at its annual dealer meeting, Ford announced to U.S. dealerships that it had created a new way to shop for and sell pre-owned Ford vehicles. The platform is called Ford Blue Advantage, and it will connect the used inventory of all 3,100 Ford dealerships in the country, including Jordan Ford here in Mishawaka.
With the introduction of Ford Blue Advantage, shoppers will find it easier than ever to locate the exact used Ford model that they’re looking for. Used car customers will be able to access Ford Blue Advantage as a digital platform, where they can shop the nationwide Ford used inventory. In addition to the huge selection of vehicle options open to every dealership location in the country, the platform will also have each item listed with a guaranteed price and delivery cost.
According to Ford Vice President of U.S. Marketing, Sales, and Service, Mark LaNeve, Ford sells roughly 3 million pre-owned vehicles each year. About a third of those sales are made by Ford dealerships across the country. By implementing Ford Blue Advantage, the automaker hopes to make shopping for a used Ford vehicle more appealing than ever, and to increase its used sales nationwide.
We’re excited to see this new option for potential Ford buyers. If you’ve got a question about the Ford Blue Advantage program, contact our team at Jordan Ford.
Though the previous generation of Ford’s infotainment technology already had an edge on the competition, Ford is preparing to unleash its brand-new SYNC® 4 system for the next-generation 2021 lineup of vehicles such as the Bronco, F-150, and Mustang Mach-E. Recently, the automaker announced a new partnership with INRIX that will strengthen the capabilities of its SYNC® 4 system and help customers save money on parking and gas.
INRIX is a technology company that specializes in providing analytics and other services for connected vehicle systems like the SYNC® 4. INRIX’s many years of expertise and industry know-how is why Ford chose to integrate the company’s service into its upcoming SYNC® 4 infotainment platform.
Thanks to the INRIX integration, next-gen Ford owners with SYNC® 4 systems will be able to use their infotainment screen to locate parking spots and get directions to the closest gas stations. Best yet, INRIX’s software lets you find the cheapest parking spots and lowest gas prices nearby to help you save some cash while traveling.
The INRIX system is touted as being the most accurate in the world, and is connected to over 400,000 gas stations in 150 countries across the globe. “These services are no longer just a selling point but a requirement — real-time information like traffic, parking, and fuel play a critical role in the entire driving experience,” said Bryan Mistele, INRIX CEO.

The iconic Ford Mustang has been deeply entrenched in all aspects of pop culture — including music, movies, and television — since the model’s inception. Following the introduction of the brand-new, all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E, a Detroit-based musician was inspired to create an electronic dance track based on the supercar.
Thanks to a partnership between Ford’s sound design team and Ozone Sound, the Mustang Mach-E will feature a number of electronic oscillations that emit while driving. Matthew Dear, the founder of the EDM label Ghostly International and remix guru for artists like The Postal Service, was compelled to compose “New Breed” after listening to the 1980s sci-fi inspired Mustang Mach-E sounds.
The self-described “sound tinkerer” actually used the digital propulsion sounds engineered for the Mustang Mach-E coupled with synthesizers as the basis of his dance floor-ready song. “Creating ‘New Breed’ was a new experience and I think the song — like the car — takes its passengers on a voyage,” said Dear.
For those interested in hearing “New Breed,” this track — along with much of Matthew Dear’s other work — is available now on most streaming platforms. Ford also released a companion documentary about the making of “New Breed” that you can watch via YouTube.
Test-drive the Mach-E when it arrives at Jordan Ford soon. Until then, stop by to take one of the other new Ford models for a whirl.

Ford and TomTom recently joined forces by signing a multi-year contract. TomTom will provide some of the next-generation navigation features for the upcoming Ford models, particularly using SYNC® 4 in-vehicle infotainment technology. And you’ll be able to find TomTom technology starting with the 2021 model year.
Offered on the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E and the 2021 Ford F-150, this TomTom technology will provide information about traffic congestion, real-time updates, parking information (spots and pricing), nearby restaurants, and more. There’s easy-to-use natural speech recognition and over-the-air updates as well, so you’ll always have the latest information.
“Their next-generation SYNC technologies have twice the computing power of the previous-generation system to do much more, including real-time, smartphone-like mapping that can help you adjust on the fly to quicker routes based on their network of millions of connected devices,” said Stuart Taylor, executive director of Enterprise Connectivity.
In particular, the 2021 Mustang Mach-E comes with several exciting features to make the most of this new TomTom contract. Ford revealed the next-generation 2021 F-150 on June 25, unveiling the truck’s new powertrain options. Like previous model years, the 14th generation of America’s bestselling pickup has its eyes set on outperforming the competitors in its segment with targeted best-in-class available towing, payload, torque, and horsepower.
With the new F-150, the powertrain lineup now includes a full hybrid engine as one of its six engine options. Most engines are making a return, such as the 3.3-liter V6, 2.7-liter turbocharged EcoBoost® V6, 5.0-liter Coyote V8, 3.0-liter Power Stroke® diesel, and the 3.5-liter EcoBoost®. Ford has not yet released horsepower and torque for the 2021 variants, but it is expected that the engines will have similar outputs to previous model years’ powertrains.
The highlight, however, is the new, class-exclusive 3.5-liter PowerBoost™ Full Hybrid V6 engine. Using a combination of gas and electric energy, this groundbreaking engine will provide the 2021 F-150 with unparalleled range and efficiency.
When it comes to the exterior, the 2021 Ford F-150 is also receiving a boost with fine-tuned details on its bumper, grille, and tailgates. To support the plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Ford 150 will also sit on a new frame. The interior dimensions remain relatively unchanged, but the new F-150 welcomes several upgrades with its technology.
